Manchester United fan reaction: Ibrahimovic and Fellaini praised

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester United fans have hit it off quickly while there was plenty of praise for Marouane Fellaini and Eric Bailly.

Manchester United took their time to get going at Bournemouth but they ended the game top of the Premier League.

Mourinho celebrates Ibrahimovic’s goal

Goals from Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic sealed a clinical victory for Jose Mourinho’s side as the swagger appeared to return to United’s play.

There were also plenty of outstanding performances. Marouane Fellaini gave the ball away literally just once and his passing was quicker than most during one of his most accomplished outings in red.

Antonio Valencia was excellent again down the right, playing an instrumental role in Rooney’s header, while Eric Bailly made it two competitive games and two man of the match awards as he dominated the Bournemouth attack on an uncompromising Premier League bow.

Daley Blind was also near faultless as he produced a performance which suggested Chris Smalling might struggle to regain his place in the defence.

It is early days, but the fans are chanting ‘United, United, top of the league again’.

Here is what the fans have had to say on the M.E.N. website:

“The much maligned Fellaini was outstanding.”

“Only Rooney had a bad game, everyone else did really well. Micki in the no. 10 role next time please.”

Meanwhile on Twitter…

Pogba showed his support…

Ashley Young was happy for Juan Mata…

The youth teamers were impressed by one man…

Fosu-Mensah showed his support…

And supporter Schweinsteiger was pleased…
